Kelly Dawson’s background lends itself to a broad spectrum of experience and knowledge to provide unparalleled representation to each clients’ issues. After graduating from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Dawson became licensed to practice law in both Texas and New Mexico. His background includes oil and gas, civil litigation, and property disputes.
Mr. Dawson has practiced in numerous courtrooms throughout the State of Texas and has been involved in both bench and jury trials. His experience is vast, ranging from school district administrative hearings to jury trials in U.S. Federal District Court. He has spent a significant amount of time representing oil companies in the field as a professional landman. His oil and gas experience reaches from South Texas, up to Illinois, and all places in-between. He has negotiated countless number of oil and gas leases as well as developed field operations for major shale plays.
Mr. Dawson understands the need for honest and committed representation and more than willing to rise to any occasion. There is true value in counseling clients for what the best outcome is, he believes.
Mr. Dawson is a member of The Texas Bar Association, The New Mexico Bar Association, American Association of Professional Landmen, Austin Association of Professional Landmen, Young Lawyers of Austin, Texas Young Lawyers Association, The Oil and Gas Section of the State of Texas.
Mr. Dawson is an active member of the American Red Cross to serve as volunteer for disaster relief efforts and works at the Austin Food Bank distribution center. In addition, Mr. Dawson volunteers a significant amount of time to work on pro-bono cases for those residences of Texas and New Mexico that need legal representation that cannot afford it.
